David says: "Death is a Truth that we all know will happen to us at some point in our life. The how's and the why's are all a bit murky, so for challenge 6 this is what I explored; the lies if you will, in order to tell the ultimate truth."

David says: "I wanted to show how people compose themselves for photographs. There's a kind of lying in the way faces and bodies are organised to convey pleasure, glamour, excitement and fun. But there's also a truth - because it's how people might want to imagine themselves to be."

David says: "In an area like Ximending, Taipei, where the commercial signs, posters, plastic figures occupy every single corner, every inch of walls and floors, the differences between reality and imagination, truth and lie are often blurred."

David says: One day, an anonymous and genius photographer discovered the panning technique. The moving object is photographed keeping it in the same position of the frame for the duration of the exposure. As a result, the subject remains more or less intact and the background goes blur, suggesting its speed. What is moving is shown frozen, and what is quiet is shown running. So we see the true because a lie is being shown.
