51098 was one of two Plaxton bodied Artics delivered brand new to Ayr Depot for the X77 but would later transfer to Cumnock where both would eventually receive branding for the lengthy 246 service. She is seen here sitting out in the yard at Cumnock Depot in her final hours as part of the depots allocation. As a result of massive invesment in 8 brand new Plaxton Panthers, Cumnock would say fond farewells to their trusty Artics, even if a few years down the line some returned. 51098 still lives on to this day as a dedicated Schoolbus in Aberdeenshire.
