Pīpīwai Trail, Haleakalā National Park
My personal favorite hike - 3 of 5: PĪPĪWAI TRAIL, HALEAKALĀ NATIONAL PARK, MAUI, HAWAI‘I.
I do not miss my opportunity to hike the magnificent trail while I was on Maui island in state of Hawai‘i. I trekked 4-mile roundtrip, gaining 650-feet elevation, Pīpīwai was no exception. I guarantee that every hiker will get WET and MUDDY on this epic trail in jungle environment. Plenty of reward with a spectacular views of numerous waterfalls & pools, per-historic scenery of Banyan tree and bamboo forest blocking all ambient lights - those gave me memorable goosebumps, feeling cool and dark even shade of sun switches the light. In the dead end of the trail, I witnessed 400-feet tall, Waimoku Falls is breath-taking which is pretty closer and good chance to swim under the waterfall.
