My personal favorite hike, 1 of 5: DEVILS GARDEN TRAIL, ARCHES NATIONAL PARK.
My partner and I hiked Devils Garden and Primitive Loop Trails well-graded main trail with two side trails for 7.2 miles, 330 feet elevation change in least five hours in July 2011. Compare to world-famous Arches' Delicate Arch trail, Devils Garden markings of one of spectacular hike to sightseeing seven stunning arches, ominous monolith - Dark Angel, overlook of labyrinth rock fins and few spots to climb the rock formations. There is no better trail to appreciate the dynamic nature of the park's namesake formations - in fact, there is nowhere else on the earth where I can get up-close and personal to view collection of natural arches.
