Not long after giving her a home Lily became more and more ill with a

debilitating illness. Numerous visits to the vet turned up nothing but the

condition got worse and worse.

 

Quite quickly she got to a point where she struggled to walk - she'd stand,

take one step and fall over (if she was lucky, often she wouldn't even

manage that). She also couldn't feed or use her litter tray without help.

She also got to the point where she just gave up washing herself.

 

In the past few days her personality started to fade somewhat too and we

could see signs of obvious discomfort and distress.

 

Because of this, this morning, we took the only course of action available

to us. The one consolation is that she won't be suffering any more.
