18 - keep on running

If there's one thing you can rely on in these 'take a photo a day' challenges, it's that during the course of the challenge you're just bound to end up returning to old tricks. And this is certainly one of my favourite compositional tools: the 'walk on by' shot.

Take any scene, give it a particularly flat or elevational treatment, then wait until someone walks past.

Is it just the architect in me that likes particularly elevational shots? Is it just the 'photography for dummies' dummy in me that enjoys the rule of thirds? Do I just need to try a bit harder and stretch that creative side a little more?

Probably. Definitely, even, but I still can't help myself.
