Dresda
A few weeks ago I was joking with a Flickr member that I've probably got one of the last original (and unused!) Dresda sticker / transfers. These came with their bike customisation parts and in this case came with one of their famous box section swinging arms which was a must have accessory back in the 70s and 80s. Combined with a pair of Koni gas shocks these were definitely designed to help the pitiful handling (at least compared with stuff they sell nowadays ) of late 70s Japanese bikes but even if it didn't do much (after all the bike still had the same frame geometery, wheels, excessive weight and dodgy forks) they were definitely a talking point "down the chippy" on a Friday night. Adding a set of Dunlop Red Arrow tyres also added to the "pose value".
Amazingly for me I didn't take a photo of the swing arm on my GT750 Suzuki - not that you could see it because of the exhaust pipes. A quick trawl of the web indicates that Dave Degens is still running Dresda and customising and building Triton cafe racers so maybe the sticker is no so rare after all
