The Casserole Restaurant, Worsley
A shot unearthed in the family archives. I did some research (Ok actually a quick web search on Google) to find some information and/or photographs of "The Casserole" - admittedly without much (or any) success. The restaurant has been The Tung Fong for many years now. I certainly never went in The Casserole - it was always deemed to be "posh" - which I used to take as it being expensive, but I've no idea if this was actually the case. I wonder if it sold Casseroles as the main thing?
I assume the building is listed in some way, because it pretty much looks unchanged , apart from the signage, all those years later. At a rough guess this was taken in the 1970s - or 1980s. Scanned from a print.
I did take a pic there a little while ago - for two reasons -
1. I thought I might find an old photo for comparison at some point
and
2. On both occasions, strangely there were no cars outside
