Tea, Coffee and Ice Cream
Over the last week I've had a reason to revisit some of my old shots. We've been looking back over a sixteen year period and the thing is, its hard to believe that it is so long ago as quite a lot of the photos seem like yesterday.
They weren't always easy to locate on the hard drive, but as a result, I've also discovered photos of some other good times where the people in the shots are no longer with us. Aren't photographs fantastic for reminding us of them?
I found this shot from a weekend away on the bikes where for whatever reason I needed to come back home whilst everyone else had another day on their bikes - you can just see at least one of them riding off into the distance. Again, it doesn't seem 5 minutes ago.
I was on my old MZ at the time. I've had a lot of different cars and bikes over the years and I wouldn't say that I "loved" many - but this bike came very close. I found it on eBAY and paid about half what it was worth. I had it for six or seven years and sold it for just less than I paid for it. In all the time I had it I never saw another one. I picked it up from the other end of the country and we had a fantastic day out in my friend's American V8 engined Dodge Ram and sadly Dave passed away last year too but we have great memories of him to look back on. No photos though - I didn't have a digital camera and for a short period of my life I think I'd got disillusioned with photography after buying a really poor APS camera.
Just need to make every day seem like the last - because sadly one day, it will be.
