The Noggin
The Noggin - a former pub near Risley. On the way to (or away from Birchwood). In more recent times a Fayre and Square family restaurant (seriously, who agreed to let that name be used?). We once went in one and it needed a Philadelphia lawyer to work out the pricing policy! Fayre, my ****.
Its been shut for a few years now, I think, so I stopped to take this for my "before and after" Revisited album on Flickr because at some point something will happen to it - maybe it will get demolished, turned into housing or become another pub or restaurant (don't hold your breath on the last one).
In the 70s when we used to be out all the time on the motorbikes we used to go out for the occasional shandy and there were quite a few "biker" pubs back then. Someone said that the Noggin was one and I think we went but can't recall much of a bike related scene and I think that we only went the once.
