E Chambré Hardman 's front door - Burrell & Hardman Studios

Like photography? Check out this National Trust property at 59 Rodney Street, Liverpool.

Edward Chambre Hardman's perfectly preserved studio and equipment - a real glimpse into the past. There are quite a few of his famous photos on display such as The Birth of The Ark Royal

In the 1950s he was charging around the equivalent of £100 for a portrait sitting and was doing up to 8 a day. Nice.

i first became aware of his work because the fabulous " A Memory Of Avignon " is hanging over a relative's fireplace, so it was fantastic to see his studio and how he and his wife lived.

The door makes an impressive entrance and it is a lovely shade of green.
