The abandoned corrugated tin tabernacle church - revisited

It is almost three years since we came here last. The gate is now locked and it says "private land" and no trespassing, so this was taken from the other side of the gate.

The gardens are still looked after. The tree on the right has obscured part of the church.

There was a notice of "proposed disposal of land and premises known as St Hilda's Mission Church, Hollingworth Fold". This would seem to require the permission of the Charities Commission and a lifting of a restriction - so probably not that straightforward.

Also, it isn't very accessible - it is at the end of a narrow "private drive" so its interesting to know who would buy it and what the land would get used for if it got sold. I'd love to buy this though - a great outlook and a gorgeous old green rotting corrugated building - bliss.

I'm no lawyer but I guess if it up for sale then at some point it may get demolished - or just fall down, which is tragic.
