Tony Wilson, The Happy Mondays, New Order, Joy Division and everyone else linked to the "Madchester" Manchester music scene can be linked to here. Shame it's not a club anymore but the problems are well documented elsewhere on the web. The lure of sticking a load of apartments there was just too great, obviously.
And the lure of sticking a big orange utilities box cover to ruin the photographs of the thousands who must take a shot here each year, was just as great.
I'm pleased to say that I did have the chance to dance (very badly!) in the Club in it's heyday. Just the once, though.
