Gone forever
When I was a kid if it was a really special occasion we came here. We had an exchange student over from Germany and we went here for a meal.
Currently my most viewed photo every day on the Flickr site is of her sitting in our old dining room with a cigarette in hand - check out my photostream for "Girl" if you fancy taking a look. Or check out my album "The 1970s lost photos and negatives" - it is in there. www.flickr.com/photos/dave_kepcove/albums/72157650337596671
The pub is in my Urbex album which can be accessed by clicking this link:- www.flickr.com/photos/dave_kepcove/albums/72157659220693474
Apparently the Queen of England once went for a meal here. Such a shame to see it in this state and even more sad to see it demolished now - this was taken in 2016.
Last time I leathered the big Kawasaki down the hill there seemed to be some building work going on - presumably houses? Wow if I was a multi zillionaire I would have loved to have bought that plot.
Goodbye to the Moorcock - I will always be left with the memories I had as a kid at tittering at going for a meal at somewhere that sounded like it was called the "more cock in". Happy days.
