BSA Bantam Clutch Wheelie
Larking about on my BSA Bantam sometime in the 1970s. I literally had no money to speak of and swopped the cycle parts/ frame and what was left of the engine on my Suzuki 250 Hustler for this old heap. Saying that, it was a real hoot to ride in a funny kind of way. It had no ignition key - just a switch - and I had to lean it up against a wall because the stand didn't work. Try telling that to the kids of today..........
For all the "fashion police" out there in Flickrland:-
Barry Sheene replica leather lined King helmet (worth more than the Bantam) bought from John Brown Wheels on Oxford Road in Manchester.
Genuine Belstaff Waxed Cotton jacket (probably worth more than the bike)
Flares (worth less than the bike)
Tuxan Cherry Red Dr Martens Air Wair 1460s
Huge grin
This was entered in the college photographic competition which got me a huge rollocking off the Principal as it was taken right outside the gates.
This was the first attempt but the second, shown below, is much better as the wheelie was higher and straight on.
