Salford Shopping City, Salford in the 1970s

Salford From a series I took back in the 1970s, probably with my Dads Agfa Silette. I developed and printed it myself back in the day, but tweaked the contrast in Photoshop earlier today. having scanned the print. I might try reprinting it...properly this time. Freeman Hardy and Willis! Whatever happened to them? Saying that, they might still be going. Marks and Spencer are still going strong and Dixons are, I think. Mmm if I was on Mastermind (very, very unlikely) my speciality subject wouldn't be the health and wellbeing of British retail brands - now would it? I love the really wide flares on some of the shoppers, which kind of gives a clue to when it was taken. Sorry about the dirty big watermark, but for some reason some people have felt it was Ok to pass some of my old Salford shots off as their own - before letting them know the error of their ways. I am happy for anyone to blog this (or any of my shots for that matter) as long as it links back to the original Flickr page. Thanks for looking and thank you in anticipation for not nicking it
