Frankenstein and friend

I've just bought myself a new Canon Pixma printer and decided to try scanning. I had a search through the wardrobe - not a box in a wardrobe - I've got a wardrobe full of photos from the 60s up to the present day. I really must start archiving them. But scanning seems to take forever. I thought I'd try a black and white one first. My old K*dak scanner was rubbish at scanning monochrome images, all full of scan lines but I am pleased with this. This is one from our old youth club when they had some kind of event which I think traumatised all the kids in the neighbourhood. That's me on the left in the Frankenstein mask, and wearing my Dad's wedding suit as it was pretty big and we could pad out the shoulders for extra effect. I developed and printed this at home at the time but due to the wonders of the "auto contrast" facility in Photoshop it looks a lot better than it did with my dodgy printing.

Maybe I should have dug that mask out of the box for my recent visit to Whitby Goth Weekend - I could have joined in!
