Cat Street Art at the abandoned shop
Last year I set about documenting the start of a project to tidy up parts of a town which included hiring a Russian artist to paint murals of cats on disused buildings.
I returned this year to find a big change - places and buildings had been tidied up and the "cat art" project was now seemingly finished. The buildings are still unoccupied but the streets are cleaned up.
Some of the more interesting aspects of the dereliction had now gone forever, so I am pleased I took the chance to photograph it when I had the chance.
