On 11 January 2013 I somehow passed 1,000,000 Flickr views.
On 11 January 2014 I hit 2,000,000 views.
What is it about the 11th January?
I say somehow, because theres just no consistency and even I've got no clue as to what is coming up next.
Just to say a big thanks to everyone who has taken the time to view my photos and an even bigger thank you to anyone who has taken the time and trouble to fave and/or comment.
One thing that is an endless source of fascination to me is how things end up where they do on Flickr.
What makes the figures even more amazing to me is that for five months of this past twelve months I didn't post a thing on Flickr but during that time around 2700 people a day had a look at something. And over 85,000 people viewed one of the images (or one person viewed it 85,000 times, I'm not sure which). Yikes.
I come across amazing Photostreams with more than 2,000,000 views on a regular basis, so it is no great shakes really in the big scheme of things.
I'm going to look for my "mojo" again. So, in the words of Captain Oates - I am just going outside and I may be some time.
Cheers.
