One of the lovely Seal Pups on Ravenscar beach. I like the ripples of blubber around its neck and their soulful expressions. Worth a look in large, if you have the time or inclination. We have both Common and Grey Seals at Robin Hoods Bay [in North Yorkshire] and they have their young at different times. The trek down to the beach at the far end of the bay is hard enough but really tough coming back up [especially with a heavy camera and lens set up] but worth it to get close to these lovely creatures. They're happy enough with you at about 5 meters away but will grumble if you get too close, always keen to protect their young. Quite a while since I've visited but maybe this winter to see the newborns.
