Kilt Rock and Mealt Waterfall.

On our way to the Quiraing we, almost accidentally, found Kilt Rock. The waterfall [fed by the small Loch Mealt] in the foreground, falls 60 meters to the rocks and colourful sea. Behind you can see the "Kilt" [with a 90 meter drop] formed by vertical columns of Basalt [the pleats] and intruded sills of Dolerite [the pattern]. A popular viewpoint this and I went hand held [in the bustle] and in portrait format to grab shots, wiping away spray from the falls captured by the wind. From the viewing platform, you couldn't see the bottom of the falls, so I framed to include the Kilt [top centre].
