Barbados is the most easterly of the islands in the caribbean. It's located at 13° north, 59.6° west.

The island is around 430 square kilometers (166 sq. miles) in area. The west coast faces the caribbean sea while its east coast faces the atlantic ocean.

Barbados is home to approx. 279,000 inhabitants.
