Haircap Moss Spore Capsules
Mosses are not my specialty, but I'm always trying to learn new things in the plant world. My unqualified guess at this point (till I expand my reference library!) is the Haircap Moss (Polytrichum). The gametophytes are the green "mossy" parts, and the sporophytes are seen rising above, consisting of the seta (stem) and capsule (containing spores).
