Desperate measures
Arriva Kent Thameside operates route 477 out of their Northfleet Garage and is the only route to run out of that garage which passses into the LEZ.
New LEZ standards came into effect from Monday 1st March 2021 which required heavy vehicles to meet the cleanest Euro VI emissions standards. With the fleet of five StreetLites not meeting that standard a small swap took place towards the end of February with the StreetLites moving to Gillingham and five Enviro 200 MMCs moving in the other direction.
Whilst the five Enviro 400 MMCs should be enough to operate the four duties initial reliability was such that the only other Euro VI vehicles at the garage, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter occasionally made an appearance. So here is 1009 BF67 WGD on Bartholomew Way, Swanley on its return trip from Orpington to Bluewater. Friday 12th March 2021.
