This light fitting in the Quadrant Arcade makes an eye-catching feature that is designed to draw you in as you walk down Regents Street. I must admit though it's never worked on me but next time I'm in London I'll have to explore further.

By the way, if you live in London or are just passing through then you might be interested to know that the London Flickr Group regularly hold free photowalks. The next one will be in early February and we'll be announcing details shortly here : www.flickr.com/groups/londonflickrgroup/

From the Barr Gazetas website, "We transformed this overlooked Grade II listed arcade into an elegant destination for London’s West End. Working closely with The Crown Estate, this is the first time the historic grand elevation of Regent Street has been altered. Our subtle, high impact changes have restored the heritage architecture and exposed the volume of the space, securing the future of Quadrant Arcade as an outstanding retail experience.

Running between Regent Street and Glasshouse Street, the 1920s Quadrant Arcade never fully realised its potential. Despite its characterful design, the arcade was easily missed by passersby due to a low, undistinctive entrance and dark interior. We finely balanced the restoration of historic features with a sensitive redesign of the interior, flooding it with natural light and giving the arcade its own unique identity."
