A moody monochrome from inside the Norman Foster designed Canary Wharf Underground station. I like the way that the viewer has no certainty as to whether the photo is looking up, down or sideways (clue : it's the latter......).
For years it seemed like the development of Canary Wharf had stood still, presumably a result of the 2008 banking crisis. When I visited the area a couple of years ago it was apparent that construction had resumed and as a result there's now a new batch of shiny new buildings to photograph.
As a result I've chosen Canary Wharf as the start point for the upcoming London Flickr Group Photowalk on Sunday 8th, May. More info here if that's sound like it would be something you're interested in taking part in : www.flickr.com/groups/londonflickrgroup/discuss/721577219...

From Wikipedia, "Canary Wharf is a London Underground station at Canary Wharf and is on the Jubilee line, between Canada Water and North Greenwich. The station is located in Travelcard Zone 2 and was opened on 17 September 1999 as part of the Jubilee Line Extension. Over 40 million people pass through the station each year, making it second busiest on the London Underground outside Central London after Stratford, and also the busiest that serves only a single line."
