The view between two buildings of a Grand Place building lit by the last rays of the setting sun.

I think it fair to say I spent too much of my two and a bit days in Brussels hanging around it's most famous square. As a result I missed out on a seeing some of the more 'off the beaten' path bits of the city. Of course one day we may be able to travel internationally again so I can return and get to know the city a bit better.

From Wikipedia : "The Grand Place ("Grand Square"; also used in English) or Grote Markt "Grand Market") is the central square of Brussels, Belgium. It is surrounded by opulent guildhalls and two larger edifices, the city's Town Hall, and the King's House or Breadhouse (French: Maison du Roi, Dutch: Broodhuis) building containing the Brussels City Museum. The square measures 68 by 110 metres (223 by 361 ft).

The Grand Place is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels. It is also considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998."
