For once I was not asked by this couple if I'd take their picture, they opted for the arms length self-portrait technique. It's like because you're wandering around with a big camera bag and a DSLR you obviously must know what you're doing. Once they hand you their tiny little compact the first thing you have to do normally is ask them how to turn it on....
