Italy - Turin - Red Arch_DSC4437

I'd hoped to get more photos of the Benedetto Camerana designed Olympic or Red Arch whilst in Turin. Unfortunately due to time running out I had to make do with this single, long lens shot during a quick visit to the famous Fiat Lingotto Factory.

From the Archilovers website : "The architectural complex consists of a 400 meter long pedestrian walkway that links the Olympic Village and the Administrative Center of Lingotto, held up by a red arch 69 meters high and 55 long.

The Olympic Arch has a practical function, as it brings together two parts of the city divided by the railway park of the Lingotto, and a symbolic function, as it is an innovative structure, visible from a distance that represents the urban renewal of the city."
