UK - Oxford - Queen's College - Archway_DSC3378
During this years Oxford Preservation Trust Open Doors event I was keen to get inside Queen's College again having last visited twenty years ago when public access wasn't restricted. I had hoped to re-shoot the shot below but unfortunately this wasn't possible as now the Quad colonnade features several litter bins.......

From Wikipedia : 'The Queen's College is a constituent college of the University of Oxford, England. The college was founded in 1341 by Robert de Eglesfield (d'Eglesfield) in honour of Queen Philippa of Hainault (wife of King Edward III of England). The college is distinguished by its predominantly neoclassical architecture, which includes buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor.
In 2012, the college had an endowment of £157.1 million, making it the fifth wealthiest college.'
