There was a mid-eighties QuikTrip convenience store, on this spot. (sse bing.com view) After QT gave up on the spot, as it is very hard to get in and out, the building sat empty for a very long time, like five years.
Finally, it was razed and CVS built a brand new store. It is similar to the one in North Kansas City, in that it's taller than necessary, to fit in with the age of the neighborhood, and has faux windows at top.
