Eight Houses on Johnson Dr, 1.4_wm
This is very close to the site of the Roe sisters' house, (gone) from whom Roeland Park gets its name.
When I was a kid in Colorado Springs, there was a stretch where some houses had been converted to retail purposes, one of which was "Mutual of Omaha" insurance, (wasn't there an Indian head logo?) This strip of homes on Johnson Drive reminds me of that. They have been used for commercial purposes for at least 25 years, if not 30.
Here's a link to a picture of the Roe sisters, who lived till 1959 and 1962.

And here's a link to a brief story about their dad, John Roe, who built a fine, 16 room house very near where these 8 houses are located.

And here's the 16 room house. www.kchistory.org/cgi-bin/getimage.exe?CISOROOT=/Montgome...
