Cascone's, 3_wm
Front faces south, with view of downtown
Cascone's has been here since about 1953-54, and recently (within five years) renovated the front of the building with brick and stone. The building had previously had wood shingles on the front, just as on the back view, shown.
The masonry work looks, to me, exactly like the improvements done at the shopping center several miles north, at 6304 North Oak.
That center has been featured here, with the old Sambo's, and the old A&P Store, now a thrift store.
They could have just coincidentally used the same masonry contractor, but the similarity of the style and the timing suggests maybe the shopping center is owned by the Cascone's.
I will post pics of the shopping center, Smokehouse BBQ, and the old Sambo's, within comments for this set, for easy comparison.
