Red feather for a bookmark
I will use anything as a bookmarker. Once, when I was reading Oprah's "what I know for sure", I used a dollar bill to mark the pages. I don't think I ever finished reading her essays and the dollar bill is still tucked between the pages because just a few days ago, when I was moving books and dusting the shelves, the book tumbled down and the dollar fell out. I put it back in, saved for a rainy day (when I want to buy a coke or lottery ticket).
Thanks to my friend Mak, I am now a fan of Anne Rice. He suggested The Vampire Lestat. From there I moved on to The Witching Hour which is over 900 pages long. Now I'm reading Lasher. The book could have been over 300 / 400 pages ago, but I won't complain. I'm enjoying it!
