MFZ - Cyclone (aka Mospeada) company
332nd Cavalry Scouts - The Wraiths
While I did base these original Cyclones as a "frame" for an impromptu company for a demo, I never took the idea any further. I'd wanted to field them in earnest as a complete company so sat down a couple weeks back and made it a reality.
I was short on cones and 1x1 tiles in red so looked through my inventory and white came out the only viable candidate. Once I got them together I needed to base them which required a mix of jumper plates to make it all fit. Once they fit the bases needed to be filled out and that lead to 'terraining' them. I'd already worked out systems from my original build, but SSR's were a struggle. I tried several things, but all were crap until I figured out this RPG design.
After than I needed stations. My first ideas looked way too big so I searched around for ideas and found mraichelson's moisture vaporators again. They were perfect and needed bases to make them 4x4 and so provided an opportunity to make it all match.
I'd love to sticker these up. Maybe some crossed Cavalry sabers on the flags and cheese.
While I like the look of the company as a whole and tried to make sure they were large enough as game pieces to not get lost among the terrain and other frames (I played one game where a players frames were so small they disappeared from view and were sometimes forgotten about), they did feel a little (ha!) out of place surrounded by Chubs. They will assuredly make it to the table again, but probably not often.
