The Paris Foundations
The catacombs in Paris are a result of a plague causing overwhelming numbers of bodies that the Parisian graveyards couldn't handle. The king suggested the use of an old quarry under Paris as a place to store the bodies and has since become the final resting place of the bones.
Shot using Kodak 400tx Professional black and white with my Mamiya M645 1000s.
4 second exposure @ f5.6
Better on Black (press L)
