Kanata Hoshikawa is Mirai and Eiji's classmate. The Kanji of her name is 星河彼方 but "Kanata" is written as hiragana. Her name means "Beyond the Milky Way". Character design by Moorina.

Kanata's main weapon of choice is her Shinku Kunai [真空クナイ]. "Shinku" means "vacuum" and Kunai are ninja type daggers. The Shinku Kunai emits a small radial vacuum around the tip when it hits its target. As the Shinku Kunai causes a mess when hitting a living being, Kanata prefers to use them to disarm her enemy instead.

 

Father is Japanese, Mother is half Chinese and Filipino.
