The Morning Call

A hint of vapor is emitted from the nostrils of this bull elk as he issues a challenge to other bulls on this cool 41 degree morning in Cataloochee Valley. This herd is such a treasure to the mountains of our state, giving us an opportunity to view up-close such a magnificent animal in open space.
