L'any 1148 els miners van construir les "Nagelschmiedhäuser" dins la roca.

Aquestes cases, són de les més velles que subsisteixen a Rattenberg.

Avui en dia, aquestes cases alberguen el museu de l'artesania.

Els marcs dels portals i les finestres van ser afegits a la darreria del període gòtic als segles XV i XVI. Són fets de "Kramsacher Marmor".

 

L'interior de la casa, amb el seu històric passat, i el "Nagelschmiede", on es forjaven uns 40.000 claus cada any, han protegit el seu aspecte natural i donen una idea de com era la vida en el segles passats.

In 1148 miners built the "Nagelschmiedhäuser" in the rock.

These houses are one of the oldest in Rattenberg.

They now work as the Handicraft museum.

The frames of the portals and windows were appended in the late gothically period of the 15th and 16th centuries. They are made of "Kramsacher Marmor".

 

The interior of the house with its historical past, and the "Nagelschmiede", where about 40,000 nails were forged in a year, have protected their natural appearance and they give the visitors an insight into past centuries.
