Kirovsk / Кировск (Russia) - Former train station

Remainings of the train station of Kirovsk. There has never been any reason to construct such a huge station building in Kirovsk, since the city has no connection to any big railroad line. There's just a 25 km line to the more important station of Apatity (on the Sankt-Peterburg - Murmansk line), and there are no passenger trains on this line. Instead, people use marshrutkas (minibuses) to get from Apatity to Kirovsk. It is said that the station has been built for mere prestige reasons and that Stalin has been the first and last passenger.
