I build an adapter for my shock absorber. First I made it from a piece of aluminium, it was good, but it bended. Now I try carbon fiber because I do not want to increase the weight by using a thicker piece of alu. the form of the shock absorber should bend the carbon fiber plate upwards befor compressing it. The carbon is woven in a cross pattern with a glassfiber layer. It should withstand a lot of force. I also armed the whishbone. I used a layer of Sugru for shock absorbtion and to stick it to the wishbone. I used carbon roving with instant glue to fixate it.
