Ape Caves

We went on a little road trip out to the base of Mount St. Helens to these caves that were created from lava flow when the mountain erupted along time ago but not from the eruption in 1980.

I have never been in a cave where you had to bring your own source of light. The ones I've been in were pretty touristy and I think they had lights in'em. I know, lame.

This was a sweet little adventure hike. Trying not to trip over any rocks or knock your head on any rock creations above.

As you can see, we went a little flash light crazy.
