Crisp Moon

Okay-alot went into trying to capture this photo.

I looked up what time the moon would rise (5:2P.M.). So I left work early. Linds needed the car tonight so she dropped me off and I figured out where the moon was gonna pop up (it turned out to be a completely different spot) and positioned my camera on the crappiest tri-pod, mind you (more on that later) and begin to compose my shot.

All the while I am thinking the moon is going to rise behind Mount St. Helens. Well, it doesn't. So I have to recompose and my camera and crappy tri-pod but the sticks can't hold the weight of my big glass and it flops forward, smashing my fingers. Did I mention it's freezing?

My hands are totally numb, I can't even feel my camera. I am trying to adjust the exposure and I can't turn my wheel on the cam. haha.

I pulled off this shot. The moon was passing behind a cloud and I figured it's the best I could do considering everything else. It's a kinda stock moon shot but ya know, it's all good.

I head back and stop by a quickie mart to grab a sixer of Deschutes ESB. I went to grab it and it feels warm. I ask the clerk, is the fridge working? It was. It's just that my hands were still so cold!

Anyway, enjoy. LOL.
