Jygyldyk Bazaar, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
After roughy two hours of strolling around the huge Jygyldyk Bazaar, offering everything from roosters and camels to a couple of football fields made up by used cars of any brand and type you´d imagine, I settled for some Soviet memorabilia in the shape of a retro Aeroflot stewardess pin. Trying to get a cab turned out to be trickier than expected, not the least since all cars blocked each others way so no one could get out. It was a pretty funny scene.
So we decided to walk for a bit, passing worn out busses like the one above and then settled for maybe the most expensive taxi fare paid throughout the week. Then again, with the pressing heat in mind I could have paid a zillion more just to get out of there.
