After having eaten hazelnuts by mistake (see earlier pictures) I knew that I had a couple of hours of stomach pains ahead of me. Our local guide Shukur was worried and checked in on me twice. I was fine though, just needed to ride the storm out sort of. Afterwards I wasn´t too kee on eating and only briefly went out with my friends who found a weird ass place where local teens drank beer and danced like crazy. Oh and we also ran into a Brittish girl who´d we´d stumbled upon while hanging out at the Russian Bazar in Ashgabat a couple of days earlier. I decided to leave the Turkmen youth around midnight and walked back to the hotel. Looking out at the deserted park in front of it, a park that amazingly enough looked even more crude and left for dead in the night time. I went for a stroll through in order to find the bizarre monument of the old president Turkmenbashi that I´d seen earlier and that I expected to be all lit up by then.
It was.
The pictures however turned out like crap. That I got chased by a pack of stray dogs that scared the living crap out of me might have had something to with it. Oh well, I guess you can´t nail ´em all.
