By the time we got back to Ashgabat I sort of had gotten parts of my appetite back so when having lunch at a local restaurant I decided to stretch things a bit further than boiled rice. Not that I understood much of the words anyway. Priced to the left are in new currency which all shops and restaurants are forced to show. Still, evidence that people prefer and still use the old manat (right) is everywhere.
