Durgun
I was running around inside the market place and was a bit reluctant to take pictures of people. The day before I´d tried to take some random shots at the Russian Bazaar in Ashgabat which ended up with a mighty upset local. Since my gear looks like a freaking bazooka I somewhat can understand why. So I was a bit surprised when a couple of old ladies wanted to have their picture taken, laughing and talking to us in Russian. I didn´t get a whole lot but did my usual "Shvetsiya, Shvetsiya" routine and it worked out fine. I even got a bag of grapes as a gift.
In my drawer I still have the small piece of paper on which this particular lady wrote down her name. So, if I´m not spelling this wrong (the writing is a bit sloppy), this one´s for you Durgun Ahsakan.
