Back in Beijing I hung out with Guo Wei who of course was cool enough to show me some authentic neighbourhoods. Funny enough this road was empty by mid-day but in the evening it turned into a hustling and bustling avenue, filled with food stands and shops hawking this and that. I bought a pair of soccer shoes since my itinerary for North Korea included playing soccer at the Kim Yong Il Stadium (which never actually happened, but that is another story).
