I was late to the flight. And by being late I mean really, really, R-E-A-L-L-Y, late. Why? Well, I bought a genuine poster from the 70´s at the Propagandha Art Poster Museum (well worth a visit if you´re in Shanghai) and being absent-minded like I always am I dropped the damn thing on the platform while boarding the subway on my way to the airport. Realizing my mistake halfway there my mind shut down completely and I exited the train and headed back to find it. Dumb move. Especially when you´re already late for the friggin´ flight.

This resulted in me arriving at Pudong International ten ("10") minutes prior to lift off. The great people at Air China escorted me through security and I an like a madman to the gate, just to find the aircraft on the ground, halted by the severe storm outside. It was really raining cats and dogs out there and I´ll tell you, flying through a typhoon is no walk in the park. Above the storm clouds everything was calm and beatiful, the stars shining bright and the moon illuminating the wings outside. Like poetry to my sore eyes.

The wing belongs to an Airbus A330-243 (Flight No: CA 0178, ID: B-6080).
