The Maglev (short for "Magnetic Levitation") in Shanghai is the worlds fastest train. Using magnets to keep the train floating 15 millimeters above the rail and also push the train forward super high speeds are achived. The 30 kilometer ride from the financial district of Shanghai to the Pudong International Airport takes just under eight minutes and the top speed during the ride is a whopping 431 km/h.
